Nestle Maggi: To Eat or Not To Eat, Is the Question

After being banned in India, due to high lead contents, Maggi lost its reliability and acceptance of being one of the yummiest noodles in the world. However, the world famous two-minute noodle brand will stay in shops and stores across the Malaysian demography. In India, Maggie, along with other popular noodle brands, is undergoing a stringent ban and rounds of laboratory examination and shameful lawsuits in India at the moment.

According to the Food Safety Information System of Malaysia, FSIS, the lead content in the popular instant noodle of Nestle Malaysia are found as per the national and international standards, hence, Maggi will not taken off shelves in Malaysia.

When contacted, the national spokesperson of Nestle Malaysia confirmed the same. “The Maggie products in Malaysia are safe, and we will not be recalling our batches in the country.”

The source from the company also commented, “We are strictly following the national guidelines, and monitoring the quality and ingredients of our products. Our strict food safety policy has enabled us to maintain our quality and standard as per the suggestions of the government and health organizations.”

The report which was scrutinized and prepared by FSIS also cleared that all the products of Nestle meet the local food regulations. The food safety organization took and performed extensive analysis on the samples of Maggi noodles, and found no mismanagement in the product. Now, since Maggi is safe, it is great news for the admirers of this Nestle product.
